Sounds like a no-no, as public aid is
usually considered the payer of last resort. It may be state specific, but it
really sounds like double dipping to me.
I have a lady that is in a Medicare bed getting med a benefits.
She is also a long term resident that is public aid. The powers that
be want to charge her a bed hold while Med A covers 100 days for tube
feed. Is this legal, ethical, what?
