We have a resident who was hospitalized with exacerbation of COPD, UTI. While in the hospital she also received care for a stage 2 pressure ulcer. On readmission, this rd met all the technical & clinical terms for medicare coverage. No PT was indicated. She continued to require skilled care due to COPD....but now her respiratory status has stabilized and the only thing that is requiring a nurse's care is the care of the pressure ulcer stage 2. The question is : "Is this enough to cover her as skilled care----Medicare A, being that she was also treated for this in the hospital.
