delay of therapy

How long can we use a delay of therapy d/t weight bearing restrictions to keep someone covered for Medicare A?  I have a hip fracture repair resident whose status is NWB on affected side.  Therapy provided services as much as they could while in the NWB status, but have now discontinued sessions until weight bearing status is progressed.  The next orthopedic appointment is not until 5-21-04.  Thanks.
