the c lib should build clean so when you make it look for any warning
that might mean problems
you can also try loading the rts system with warnings enabled:
(use-system :rts :warnings t)

did you make the libs in rts/ ?
look for any error messages.
What SBCL environment is RTS working with? Tried various sbcl's,
with various versions of cffi without luck. CFFI, PORTMIDI (and
MIDISHARE) loads fine, but (use-system :rts) in a freshly booted
