yes this is the kind of thing it is being built for. On my short todo list is a Hooks window that lets you associate snippits of code with "triggers" (keyboard strokes, mouse clicks, midi notes etc) so you can interactively trigger the evaluation of bits of code. the other thing that may not be obvious since examples are still so sparse -- you dont have to write processes you can just call send interactly, and also send in the future.
