I had swore off alcohol when I was dx  with CML  hoping that might of 'change'things but hell with that,, now we got gleevec!!!           Just  sharing my anniversary with the group  and how thankful I am  for THIS group which practically saved my life when    a member had mentioned a clinical trial was being conducted in New York City after having turned down a chance in Oregon with Dr. Druker!!!            Wishing  everyone continued success and not giving up     the fight!!!           jeffrey c Hey Jeffrey, that's great news, I know how you feel being dxed in 1997 my self and having fought my way through interferon and many of its pains in the butt.  I did very well on it though as far as my counts.  We went along waiting for some big breakthrough in the fight against this killer and damned if it didn't get approved one day before I was to go to Northwestern Hospital in Chicago to try to get into the trial in 2001.  After all the anxiety of the first 4 years there was the wonder of the possibility of light at the end of the tunnel.  In March of 2002 I was in complete remission!   God Bless you and may you have continued success in this fight,   Jim Rodeghier  New!
