Thank you for both of your responses. I understand that you had a bone marrow transplant and it worked out great for you but that is not always the case with everyone. I also believe that it is completely up to the person with CML and I believe that Gleevec is right for me, at least right now.
I really want to have children of my own and that was one of the reasons why I went with Gleevec too. I am sure that everyone has strong feelings about the treatment way that they go and I don't think that one thing is exactly right for everyone and it's good to have options. Meghann, I am 33 and went through the same things you are right now. If you wanted to talk to someone your age who has "been there done that" you are more than welcome to call me. The real question though is how do you really know which treatment is best for you?
