Mark, Very interesting topic to discuss. Somewhat depressing, yeah....but it may be our reality.
One reason I avoid my PCP is that I get sorta sick of going to the Onc, bloodwork, etc so I avoid another dr. Also, I figure if I am getting bloodwork done every other week or so, something would probably show up there first. That's probably not the case (how would the dr or I know if it were the CML or soemthing else?) but it's my logic. One thing I worry about is HRT (for the women) as it has been maybe-perhaps-in some cases shown to cause breast cancer. Since I started on HRT following my BMT in 2000 at the age of 35, I will be on ir much longer than women who go through menopause natureally at later ages.
