I also do not know the definitive answer, but we asked John's oncologist and he told us we should have John removed as an organ donor on his drivers license.

Hello to everyone!
Today, I went and renewed my Driver's License. During the renewal
process, the clerk asked me if I would like to be an organ donor. I
have always said "yes" in the past, but this past year was my
diagnosis with CML.
I still said, "Yes", but I was wondering if anyone has any
information as to whether or not a person with CML can donate organs,
if the occasion arises? This is one of those hmmmmm questions :-)
