1) Re cylosporin. As I was lying in the hospital room, thinking what next, they brougth out the cylosporin, which smelled like the worst thing I'd ever seen, and looked to be the size of my hand. Plus, I think, they wanted me to take 20 of them. When I tried swallowing them, I gagged and threw up. My nurse came to the rescue. Applesauce was the secret. First, let the pills air of 20 minute to help with the smell, then take a table spoon of applesauce and put a pill in, then swallow as fast as you can. That got me through the next 6 months.
2) As far as eating. If it's nausea, do they have you on anti-nausea drugs like Atavan? If that doesn't work, then, like the others said here, eat whatever you can keep down. Put cream in stuff, make milkshakes. Take diet books and do the opposite. 3) If it's taste loss, then you have my sympathy. Buy stuff randomly. I found I could eat things in the dairy family, like eggs, and milk, but couldn't eat fruit or meat. It was also very variable. I could drink tomato juice, but not grape juice.
