Hi Linda, I know that others have used Neurontin for peripheral neuropathies from interferon, so it sounds like a good choice for you. Isn't the 5th nerve the facial nerve and when damaged you call that Bell's Palsy? if so, it can take a while to recover from. I don't know anything about the other drug suggested by your chiropractor. I recently learned from my 'newer' local oncologist that diazide is mainly (according to him) for reducing blood pressure, so he was a bit surprised that Dr. Druker likes it over lasix for the edema. I needed a new Rx and told him that I would try lasix if he wanted but he deferred to Dr. Druker......and also made some comment that he heard that Dr. D would probably get a Nobel prize for his work, so I guess he was not going to second guess him on this drug!! Also I want to congratulate on all the positive steps that you have taken to get out of an abusive relationship....that is not an easy thing to do.
