Hi just to add my thoughts on BMT. I thought 5 years post BMT I was cured, and after 10 years even my doctor thought I was cured, but I relapsed almost 11 years past transplant and am now taking gleevec, yes transplant is a cure and yes if you are young and have a good match it is worth considering, but relapse is always lurking around, and for me gleevec has enabled my donor cells to regraft and maybe, in time I will gain 100% donor cells again. So gleevec has a place in treatment as does bmt, frankly I'm glad we live in times where there are so many treatment options
