Hi Kristin, You're right that serum testing has not been available in general. However, we know that Novartis knows how to do it, and it occurred to me that in a case like this they might be willing to make an exception, testing it themselves. If I were in this situation, I'd sure work on my doc to push a bit on Novartis, and/or talk with Dr. Druker to see if he had any "in," and/or petition Novartis myself!
