I would suggest getting opinions from your CML doctor and any other
doctors who treat you for the other conditions and have them consult
with each other. There are a lot of sites listed on Google about the
lap band surgery which have more information. From a brief look at
some of the sites it sounds like many patients have had good results
with it and some had to have it removed. It was my understanding from
reading that the device can removed if it causes any serious side
effects and complications. If your doctors think it would be something
you should consider doing they can probably help you find a surgeon
who is well trained in doing the procedure and has potentally done the
procedure on other patients with the same medical problems you have. I
