My husband, Bob, is on the BMS drug and has high Creatinine readings, too. So it's probably not the Gleevec. His has been as high as 1.8, but is usually around 1.5 or 1.6. He recently had a stone removed from the bile duct, but his creatinine still stayed high, although the Alkaline Phosphatase went down considerably. Just to let you know you are not the only one with a creatinine "problem". Hang in there!

Thanks for the responses you provided in late January. I had two
Serum Creatinine readings (1 week apart) where my results were
elevated. 1.5 on the first reading and 1.8 the second. A "kidney
specialist" had me tested 4 ways to Sunday and then I had to wait
for 3 weeks to get results. Bottom line - readings were back to my
baseline of 1.4 - high but in range.
Bottom line - Dr said don't exercise vigorously in the days before
blood tests and always drink a lot of water when you do. I am back
to Hoops tomorrow! Dont know if Gleevex causes this phenomena but
wanted to let other folks be aware.
