Thanks to both of you for your comments. I did have my situation checked out by my IT people. The reason I am not thinking it is a "worm" is because usually those types of viruses have something amiss in their email address convention. In this particular instance the e-mail convention is perfectly intact.
For quite a while I received at least 5 viruses by e-mail a day, and thankfully, my anti virus software picked them all up. However, everyone of them was sent from a "hotmail" domain, so these were the "conventional" types of viruses. That being said, I do hope everyone takes your advice and makes sure their anit-virus software is update. You are so right that it is absolutely necessary if you want to be part of lists like this - which of course we all do!
