Hi penny. My daughter is expecting in Sept and she asked about the cord blood. The hospitals now know how to save it. Five years ago when she had her daughter they didn't know how to go about it. So ask your hospital where the baby is being born if they do it. JUDY dx99

I know they are using cord blood for BMT and was wondering if the cord from the new baby is an option to have saved for a later date? I also have a brother and he and his wife are having a baby in the fall and we could use that blood and save it as well, if this if possible. Anyone have the answers to these questions?
