Does anyone have any insight or information on cord blood and its' usage for a BMT? My son and his wife are having a baby in a few weeks and he has CML. I know they are using cord blood for BMT and was wondering if the cord from the new baby is an option to have saved for a later date? I also have a brother and he and his wife are having a baby in the fall and we could use that blood and save it as well, if this if possible.
