Hey Group:
Pat as for your racing heart and depression. . I am so very sorry that you are depressed. I have a friend who swears by Xanax. Per your racing heart, I was given Procrit and began having a racing heart and chest pains, which I ignored. Platelet clotting is one of the side effects of Procrit. Last June after 2 ER trips, I had to have 2 stents implanted and now I have Coronary Artery Disease. Per the lungs, I was diagnosed with COPD on 5/04/05.
I cannot stress enough to the Group to run to your PCP with any symptoms that 'don't seem right, our body tells us when something's wrong and we have to tune in and be aware. I as a result of saying everything is 'a side effect of Gleevec' I could have been dead, "man points. . . God appoints." I have more terminal and chronic diseases than anyone else in the group, I believe. . . but I list them all as 'chronic illnesses', our bug included.
As the Groups cheerleader, and the most "UP" person of everyone who knows me. . . I cannot stress enough to my sister and brother survivors. . . 'if it doesn't seem right, it isn't and run to your PCP and be referred to a specialist'. I have my PCP, 6 specialists and God on my life (medical) case. I am very blessed as are all of us, to have this disease at this time when we have options.
Lisa, you are an inspiration to us all. To the new Grandmas I wish I had a 'Grand'. I am ready, my son and daughter aren't. . . so I wait patiently.
