My husband had a transplant in December. He stopped taking Gleevec before transplant, but I can't remember exactly how long...I think it was at least a week or two before-hand. I know that he stopped it before he started his pre-transplant radiation and chemotherapy. A little background on his diagnosis and treatment...he was dx'ed with CML in June 2003, started Gleevec and reached a partial remission with it. In August 2004, he relapsed into blast crisis, underwent chemotherapy, which put him in complete remission...started Gleevec again and had BMT in December.
