Hello all
I just wanted to say hello. I am new to the message board,
actually this is the first message board ive ever been in so please
excuse my bloober that i may make along the way.
My name is Roger and i was diagnosed with CML last May. I am
currently on 400mg of gleevec, and as of last month i was 4% away from
what my M.D. calls a "genetic remission", but what does that mean? I
mean i know what he is talking about, but it is still...well i dunno.
The reason i joined is because i feel alone, and need common
ground. My doctor has stated that i am in a very small percentage of
the world for having this at my age now 26. My m.d. maintains an
extremely positive attitude torwards this, and says that i should as
well. For the most part i do, but there is always the "what if"
factor.
I really dont know what else to say, but thank you for taking the
time to read this, and thank you in advance for any insight you may
offer, and any friendship you might extend.
