You sound exactly like my wife--but she started howling in less than sixty days after FDA approved Gleevec. Cramps are a recofgnized side effect of this wonder drug. In my wife's case her Onc felt that she was having a toxic reaction to 400 mg daily dose. Reduced dose to 200 mg and cramps marjedly decreased in frequency but even now she still gets hits. After many trials and errors we settled ona glucosamine based over the counter product P-K-5 which can be obtained from ICON Labs in Ormond Beach FL. I feel any Glucosamine based salve will do equally well. It does work for my wife and hope it may give you some relief.
