My platelets have been staying between 60(thousand) and 100 for over
two years. This has not caused any problems for me in my BMA or
prostate biopsies - I'll be having a prostate removal surgery in two
months. My other cloting factors are all normal.

platelets transfusion. My blood level rose to 14.7 after 2 weeks of
BT but my platelets went up to 43 only. After a two weeks when I was
still on sick leave my platelets rose to 190 then starting to drop
down soon after I started going to work. Now my platelets read 96
which is beyond the normal minmum of 140. Can anyone there advice me
on how to maintain my level of platelets? And what are the side
effects of low level of platelets? what can I eat or do to prevent
them from going down?
