negative for infection, which is good news. He has no fever,
pressure is better & sugar level is fine. The kidney functions are
doing better & his graph vs host disease on his skin has calmed down
greatly. On the flip side, the billirubin levels with his liver have
increased dramatically. Normal count is 1.5 and as of this morning his
is 34.5 As you can see that is VERY concerning to the doctors here
and us. They believe that the rejection disease of graph vs host is
getting into his liver and it is much harder to treat it when it's
there. They continue to try & bring it down and if the medications
that they are giving him for it are going to work, we should see his
counts dropping in a week or so. The doctor said that sometimes the
medications will not work and the liver will continue to get bad.
Please, please pray that his liver will start clearing up and working
right again soon. He could become in

has been pretty discouraged also. He seems to be giving up. It's so
sad to see that and hurts greatly. We love you all & thank you for
your continued support & prayers. May God Bless you all, Mary, Rick &
family

Dearest Mary, Just wanted you to know your son is my thoughts and
prayers. I sincerely hope his liver situation gets better and soon.
Does he have a caringbridge site or an email address I could write to
him? Keep the faith...and do whatever it takes, but don't let him give
up..he's got his whole life in front of him. Half the battle is
attitude and he must realize this to heal. Praying for Matt...Pat Reynolds
