do many of you have trouble with timely shipping from Novartis??
we have had several problems....1. the initial shipment just about
every month is 5 days worth of Gleevec. Dh Terry is currently taking
only 6 - 100mg pills...so they send 30 pills....gone in 5 days
2. we have had trouble connecting with Norvartis because they call
& leave a msg at dh's work number, since we don't have a home phone.....it
takes a couple to 4 days before we get msg & then get it returned,
etc.
3. we requested that Norvartis ship to dh's oncologist office
rather than home in order to speed up process, especially since they keep
under-shipping the amount needed
the opinion I need........
these mishaps are preventing dh from taking Gleevec every single
day of every single month. one thing this group made clear to us is to
not miss taking a daily dose due to building resistance to the drug.
anyway, is all of this serious enough to talk to a Norvartis customer
service person about??? I know that the past several times that
Norvartis short-shipped, the pharmacy would say that our Doc just needed to
call in & request more medicine....which of course, would delay another
couple to several days of shipping by the time the doc office would return our
call & then when they found the time to call into Norvartis.
