As a "new" CML family member, I appreciate the candor and honest way you replied about your daily fight of this battle.  Gleevec is a miracle drug compared to the drugs before it but obviously is still just that:  a chemotherapy drug.  As such, there are the constant side effects and fatigue.  I am sorry that your side effects have not improved.  The thing is, once we get on this road, there is not the old "normal" anymore.  Now, there is a "new" normal and for some that means constant fatigue and prioritizing to complete the basic activities of life.

I honestly am glad to hear such honesty as is in your note.  It's not a piece of cake and when people are allowed to share their experiences, it makes it easier to know that every ache and pain is just that...an ache and pain...not necessarily some blast cells apppearing and deciding to multiply.  That is why this is called a support group.

Best wishes to you and I hope the new drug you talked about will be easier for you.
