From one Mississippian to another, happy birthday LaQuita. Many happy returns.
I have some good news to report. My wife Jimmie, who has CML, got a qpcr back from the latest BMA. .006 One lousy cell in 100,000. She has been on various does of Gleevec since May of 2001. However, the difference has been the Doctor. Her Dr. is Lisa Bond in Hattiesburg. She is a young and agressive treatment specialist who reads and understands what the goals of treatment are. Too many old timers just look at blood counts. Anyway,
we are extremely excited since Jimmie has been a turtle from way back.
Just to let you know, Jimmie and I are taking a three month vacation of sorts. We havfe rented a condo in Asheville, NC until Nov. I will be working out of here and Jimmie will be enjoying the mountains she loves. The weather is a welcomed change from the hot South Mississippi Summers.
