Hi Gang!   It's been eons since I've posted, and it was so good to see Dane's name on the board when I brought up the CML group on my email!!  Dane~ do you remember me?  I was the first CML Viking Warrior and bestowed the same honor to you b/c of your name!!  I used to enjoy your wonderful Florida photos before you moved to Texas.  So, did you have a transplant??!!!   Everyone/anyone:  I need Dr. Druker's email address.  I haven't written to him since 2001 and I need his advice about protocol for Gleevec around a surgery.  I'm scheduled for surgery (minor) in Nov., and I can't remember how many days prior to/after surgery to forego the Gleevec.   Praise God I'm still in "remission" on 400 mg of Gleevec and have been so for almost four years now.  I'm thankful for every day, especially when we are still losing friends to this disease (eg. Mindy ~ she's been gone a year already)   I retired from teaching ~ was granted a disability retirement.  I'm so relieved not to have to force myself to go to school every day, even though I loved teaching.  It was just too hard to keep up.   I love you guys (& gals!)!!  Please let me know (privately, if you can via my personal email address) Dr. Druker's email address.  Thank you!   Sandra McKernan dx 6/99 Gleevec 5/01 CML Viking Warrior New!
