Hi Dave, I live about 2 hours west of Springfield in Kansas. My husband, step- son and I actually took our family vacation in Springfield this summer. Although we go there about 4 times a year anyway. There is some snow, but probably much less than you are used to! You are right about the fishing........it is all around that area. And then you have Branson only about 30 minutes away with Tablerock lake and Lake Taneycomo also. I hear they have great bass fishing. I am not one to fish myself though. Are you going to be living in Springfield? Or somewhere on the outskirts? I have a sister-in-law that lives in Nixa.
Some other highlights of the area are Exotic Animal Paradise (a drive- thru zoo) and you have to eat at Incredible Pizza!! We spent an entire day there! There are caves in the area if you like that also. Anyway it is a very nice place and I want to wish you well during your move. Can I ask why you are relocating? is it because of a job or family or something? Who will you be using for a doctor? Enough from me!
