Livia, I was sadden bye your email. It's too bad your husband is having such a hard time dealing with your disease..... and i am sure it is soooo difficult for you to feel he is not there for you. I don't know why in life, some people back away from problems, thinking that if they don't deal with the  problem or the card they are dealt it will go away,as we know that's not the case. You sound like such a caring person , mentioning that he has had his share of problems  with his dad being sick and now you. Livia i am sure you would rather be doing something else beside dealing with this disease. I am the wife of a CML patient and as difficult as it is and has been in the past  years.... i couldn't imagine not being here for him . Livia, how long have you been married? Any children? When were you diagnosed , and is it Cml? Are you being treated with Gleevec  and how are you feeling? Do you have  other people there for support, a familly or close friends. I hope and pray for your sake your husband comes around. I am sure he is a good person, probably hung up in the fact why is this happening to us.....and that's okay but get mad and get angry and  then move on..... and focus on getting better and how to deal with the change's in your lives. That's what we did.......hell we were angry but once we got beyond that..... we said we are in it together, we are going to learn everything we need to know about Cml and thanked god.....how fortunate are we to be here to talk about it.. I am glad you found this group , its a great source of information. You need all the support you can get dealing with this disease....and its so important that your spouse is there for you.....i swear it makes you stronger as a team.                                                                                            E New!
