Pat,
I know this Thanksgiving and all the holidays coming up will be bittersweet for you as you begin the process of grieving the loss of your beloved mother. Take your time in that process and you will be better for it. It is obvious in reading your notes how much you loved her.
Remember to do something kind for yourself, eat right, and get plenty of rest. It's a tough, tough time for you right now.
And, yes, we will all be together here for a long, long time..."God willing and if the creeks don't rise." (that's one my own dad used to say before his death.) I do understand.
