Social Security has hundreds of lawyers (perhaps even thousands). Their job
is to find anything in your application they can use to deny your claim. It is a
difficult process without a lawyer and the odds are not in your favor.

Over the years, it has been my experience hearing of applicants for SS
benefits; regardless of the disability; everyone should hire an Attorney. One
lady applied 4 times on her own and was denied each time. Everyone who applied
with an Attorney was approved.
There are Attorney's listed in the telephone directory whose specialty is
SS Law and you contract to pay them 25-33% of your 1st lump sum benefit
payment upon receipt.
