Pat,
I know you are grieving and I am wondering how much that affects your decision regarding the Gleevec. Soon the newer drugs will be on the market and you will have some choices. Until then, please, please stay on the Gleevec because it is suicide not to take this drug that will keep your disease from progressing. You could always go back to the traditional meds before Gleevec if you are struggling with the G. side effects. Why don't you ask your doctor about something like the Interferon until the new drugs are released?
