Thanks Luning.  I started on Gleevec on the day I was diagnosed...Oct 7.  I guess I just got hopefull that my results would be better and was upset with the 50% but I should just be thankful for the numbers going in the right direction.

When did you start Gleevec? I was dx in April, and
started Gleevec in May. My PCR in July showed no
change at all. My Onc and I were worried at that time.
I checked with a CML expert, and was told that  two
months are too short to tell anything. I was told to
keep 400mg until 6 months' PCR. Fortunately, my PCR in
Oct shows that I have 2.3 log deduction, and I'm in
CCR now. So I think it might be normal for your test
result.
