Hi,
Personally, I don't think quinine/tonic water for cramps is a good idea.  It has been linked to thrombocytopenia, which means problems with platelets.  Personally, I have low platelets anyway, and I don't need to make it worse!  I have noticed that if I exercise, stay hydrated, and use my juicer (veggies and fruits apparently keep my mineral balance where it should be), I don't cramp much.  I seem to be chronically dehydrated, so I drink half a glass of water right before I go to bed, and I haven't woken up with cramps since.  I've also trained myself to do some bio-feedback- I can pretty much stop a cramp if I feel it coming on.  Don't ask me how I do it, though, I don't know!
