Dearest Melody Hello Melody and welcome to our group of fellow friends and warriors of CML. So sorry to hear of your misfortune. I hope you will soon find the answer to this bizarre occurrence. I don't know if a doctor could give you the answer you are looking for, but Dr. Druker would be the best to correspond with since he designed Gleevec and is so knowlegeable on CML. In my fogged up brain, I recall being told by my doctor that leukemia can make you more susceptible to other cancers. I don't think going off Gleevec for a short period of time would do this. There are several in the group who have taken breaks from taking it for one reason or another. Please know that you will be in our prayers and try not to jump to conclusions until you learn more. Please feel free to come forward with any questions that might arise. We are all here to help each other if at all possible. Please share with the group your findings so that others can learn from your experience. I wish you the very best and my prayers are with you. Love, Peace, Hope & Prayers, Pat
