  The FISH results mean that Jim is now 8%Ph+.  8% of all the cells
looked at by FISH are positive for CML.  Do you have a previous test
result to compare to?  One thing to bear in mind is that every lab has
a cut-off point for false positives and that can be as high as 10% in
some labs.  False positives mean that though the result shows up
positive, it could actually be negative and you need to ask the lab for
the false positive cut-off point.

This is very low level disease so again, the question is what was Jim's
last FISH result?
