Hi Lori, I had a really bad 3 months when I first started Gleevec. My counts wouldn't stabilize and was off and on Gleevec for a while. I had chills and fevers and went through a sick period. My blood counts finally stabilized and now I'm doing good except for the few side effects that I think are normal with the med. Good luck and don't be hesitant to ask anything on this list.
