All NSAIDS are bad because they can cause internal bleeding and contribute to bleeding in general. CMLers on IM therapy can have bleeding issues, I do... my platelets run in the 70 to 80 thousand range on most tests. Excessive acetaminophen can also present its issues. The death which occurred with Tylenol came as a result of excessive use. Since most CMLers need some reliable pain management many doctors turn to mild narcotics and monitor you for signs of addiction. I use Vicodin which is a combination of hydrocodone 5mg and acetaminophens 500mg. The most I've ever needed was two in one day. Some days I don't need any and on most days, one is enough. We need to remember that, although they are OTC medications, aspirin and Tylenol are not harmless, either can kill you.

Hi there-

i was told to stay way from Tylenol due to interference with kidneys. The acetaminophen is harmful and that is why they suggested Advil.
