Dear Mary,

Dr. Neil Shah fielded this question from a patient needing a blood
thinner in his recent teleconference. In the trials, at least, blood
thinners are not allowed to be taken with Sprycel (BMS drug). This,
Dr. Shah explained, was because animal studies had shown a risk of
bleeding with Sprycel and blood thinners can enhance that.

You could always talk to the doctors in charge of the other new
trials, SKI-606, INNO406 and AMN107. They may not have a problem
taking the drug with Warfarin. All these trials are at MDACC. Dr.
Cortes is in charge of SKI, Dr. Giles for AMN.

Best Wishes,
Anjana
