Dear Mary, Our doctor feels the MUGA is the best way to go for a look at left ventricular function. Trey has given very good websites to look. Echocardiogram has also been mentioned by some of the doctors but our doctor said that for AML patients on chemo drugs that can cause cardiotoxicity, they do MUGA scans. In addition to Jeanne, other patients have mentioned their doctors suggesting a MUGA scan.
