Okay folks, I just posted my story about the MUGA not being very
accurate...I had a MUGA and it showed 39% LVEF which is not good
(should be 50-55%) so I got an echo done. But the echo (and a blood
test which measures heart function) were both fine.

My cardiologist, the best cardiologist in the state of Minnesota
(better than the folks at Mayo) told me that the MUGA at the University
of Minnesota was inaccurate because it was read by radiologist and NOT
cardiologists. He's treated a number of patients who have had left
ventricular damage because of chemo.

So if you have a MUGA done, be sure the films are read by a
cardiologist and if there's any question, get an echo done.
