Any doctor who will not accept a patient's description of pain and/or
side-effects is either uneducated, overworked, paternalistic ("I'm the
doctor; I know best"), sadistic or a boor. If the doctor cannot be
educated or brought to focus on what the patient is reporting then
he/she is not doing his/her job.
