Katy: This I do not know about..........I've only seen a few others posting out of our list that actually mentioned about their spleen enlarging. So, it may not be something that affects all of us, or it may not have been long enough for that to happen before you were dxed. >From what I understood when my first onc. explained the stages of CML to me........the beginning stage in some patients can last up to five years before any symptoms will begin to crop up. I will say this........be glad yours didn't enlarge.......I've had pain from it ever since, it lets up and then will come back in full force at different times. I believe it was Trey who mentioned about the dairy products seemed to bother his more than anything else so he went to the lactose free products and that helped him, so I tried it and I noticed a big difference in the pain.
