Hi Lisa, There are patients who have been PCR negative for 2 years and gone off Gleevec and relapsed. I know Australia is doing such a trial but anecdotal evidence as well as caution by US CML experts tell us it is a bad idea to go off Gleevec. I would not recommend anyone trying to go off Gleevec even if PCR negative. I know many PCR negative patients who have been negative for a long time and their doctors still have them on Gleevec.
