Katy,
Well that does make sense, because I was told(even though I have not had many problems with it) that my immune system is not what it use to be and to becareful around people with colds, the flu, chicken pocks, eboli, the black plague, etc. (rotfl threw in the black plague joking around.) Take care of yourself and I hope the mumps go away asap.

Okay......I have been doing some investigations, Mumps is given as a live virus. I cannot find anything though about whether someone with an immune deficioncy (sp) can contract it from a child who has had his/her shots recently. I also found out that most children do not (including my granddaughter) get their fist MMR until they are 12 months old (she is six) soooo that leaves my little niece who is five and just started school and had to have all her shots caught up? hmmmmm..... just cant figure it out. Now it does say that the "vaccinee" can contract mild mumps from the vaccine.....so to me it would be logical then that another person could contract it from the vaccinee...... puzzling......Hugs,Katy-------------- Original message --------------
