Wow, Julie.
I am glad to hear that Rachel's doc is really helping out. I know this has to be rough on you also, especially having another daughter with Crohn's Disease. My fiancee has it and it is no picnic. She gets discouraged because she has more "down" days than I do. She gets upset and says that I am the one with Leukemia but I end up taking more care of her than she has to of me. I explain to her that my problems are managed allot better by the meds they give me. Regina really cannot handle stress well at all. Anyway, give Rachel a hug for me, and both of you guys hang in there, also I wish nothing but the best for your other daughter also, take care,

Karen,
We had the best doctor in Rachel's group of doctors yesterday.  I think
he demanded that he be the one to take care of her.  We had a great
discussion with him.  I think he has decided to nip this in the bud
whether it's a change  in the cells or just minimal residual disease.
He said that when these results come back he will lay out 4 or 5
possibilites for us, and we'll choose the best one together.

Yes, I forgot to say that Rachel had dli back in 2001 when she
relapsed, but there was absolutely no affect whatsoever.  What can I
say?  She loves her sister's blood AND her own blood.

And while we were down at Riley working with Rachel I got a phone call
that my oldest daughter is back  in the hospital with Crohn's Disease
(it runs rampant in my family) having a cyst the size of her hand
drained.  She will have surgery on Tuesday.

Thanks for the info on Dasatinib.  It sounds like a posibility for us.

Julie
