Thanks Anjana, I knew you would be as on top of this issue as anyone. In one of the study abstracts you cited it says, "Preliminary data suggest that D is more effective and better tolerated than high dose IM." I think that was written quite a while ago during an early phase of testing Sprycel. Everything I've seen published recently supports that early finding. In the trials, the only patients tested on Sprycel were those that couldn't take Gllevec or Gleevec didn't work. Frankly, I think there must have been some political or industrila pressures brought to bear. I cannot see why the drug couldn't have been tested on CML patients who did get a decent response from Gleevec. Seems to me that one wouldn't have to be on such a test for very long to find out.
