Hi Mike,

Our doctor told me long ago that BMS would have a trial for Gleevec
patients in CCR but who were not going down in PCR values anymore. I
don't see those trials being done by BMS, seems to me it would be good
if Gleevec patients with good responses could take Sprycel in a trial
setting to see at what dose they tolerate the drug well at the same
time maintain their remission or go down in PCR values. You may be
right, there may be a reason why Bristol-Myers-Squibb did not conduct
these trials. Or could it be that since the drug is FDA approved, they
felt that doctors could prescribe it to their patients outside a trial
setting and they could save the money by not supplying free drugs in
the trial?

For all I know, these trials may still be pending, just wonder why its
taking so long.

Best Wishes,
Anjana
