Hi (on behalf of cousinDona) - Dr. Cortes did not look at her bloodwork on Tues., Oct. 10th which she had done at MDACC on the previous day. To repeat myself, she was awakened on Oct.11th with message to get to clinic right away as Dr. Cortes' plane leaving early. She knew he was leaving in afternoon as her appt. had already been changed. At any rate, she noticed on her copy that a test called "lactate dehydrogenase" had risen from 200 to 1000. She has looked back at records and this is not done everytime. Her local onc also does it once in a while. Her reg. Dr. is away for a week but her rheumatologist said it was liver connected and he suspected this was serious. She has called MDACC a couple of times but after waiting a while, someone comes back and says Dr. Cortes' nurse cannot speak to her. I told her I would see whether anyone has this test, what results are, and so forth. Appreciate any replies. Avis
